How skin’s pH levels and hormones influence your skin changes?

Changes that occur in skin cells during the menopause could provoke some discomfort such as a feeling of dryness on various areas of your skin. Some glands just stop being at the age of 30 same time as you do!

Dryness and itching are common cutaneous reactions to the menopause, related to changes in epidermal cells and skin appendages (hair, sebaceous glands, nails). The function of sebaceous glands, which produce a protective layer of sebum, along with maintaining skin's pH levels, is diminished.

If your body's pH is not balanced, you cannot effectively assimilate minerals.

The root causes are hormonal; the decline in estrogen levels, and other hormones such as androgens, which with age decrease in women, leading to disbalance and eventually to dry, saggy skin during the menopause.
