In order to properly treat your skin, there are skin care products that may be used during the menopause in order to ease out dry discomfort or densify skin. However, next to the good skin care treatments food and lifestyle are very important too.

Your menopause treatment should be adapted by an expert

A replacement therapy during menopause is recommended whenever possible, based on your personal and family history of cardiovascular or genital cancers. This may be only used in alignment and when advices by your personal doctor or expert professional. It is also advised to take into consideration current recommendations of trusted authorities in Endocrinology and Gynecology, and in France to refer to the French National Authority for Health (HAS).
Food and lifestyle choices can also promote the reduction of oxidative stress.

Here are a few solutions for healthy skin during menopause

Topically:
- always use gentle cleansers and low pH moisturizers, and decrease the duration and temperature of your baths

For the body:
- use retinoid derivatives
- hydrate and moisturize

For the face:
- use products containing antioxidants: vitamin C, together with vitamin E which increases its effects
- consider phytoestrogens or derivatives like resveratrol (an antioxidant compound)
- try other anti-aging active ingredients: retinoic acid or derivatives, Hyaluronic acid
